Dear Customer,
Please take a moment to read and agree to our transport terms and conditions before making a booking. Your understanding and acceptance of these terms help ensure a smooth and safe service for everyone.
Booking and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 is required to secure your booking. Please note that bookings are not confirmed until this deposit is received.
The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 24 hours before the scheduled collection. If payment is not received on time, transport will be refused, and the deposit will be retained.
Changes and Cancellations
Changes to pick-up or drop-off locations after confirmation may incur additional charges based on mileage.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking date require full payment unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Booking Eligibility
Bookings must be made by an adult aged 18 or over. If transporting a horse for someone under 18, a parent or guardian must be present at all times. The full balance will be due in such cases.
Horse and Equipment
Owners are responsible for removing any personal items from the vehicle
All medication and veterinary instructions must be collected and acknowledged by the owner.
Horse Information
Please provide accurate and honest details about your horse, including weight and previous travel experience. This information helps us ensure safety and compliance with licensing requirements.
If a horse is inaccurately described, transport may be refused, and full payment will still be due.
Passengers
The vehicle accommodates up to two passengers at the driver’s discretion, subject to weight restrictions. Additional passengers cannot be accommodated. Passengers travel at their own risk.
Transport will be refused if these conditions are not met, and full payment will still be required.
Health and Safety
If, upon arrival, the horse appears unfit to travel or poses a safety risk, transport may be cancelled. This includes signs of distress, misbehavior, or potential damage to the vehicle.
Transport under veterinary advice is accepted; otherwise, full payment remains due if cancellation occurs.
In case of cancellation by us, your deposit will be refunded, or you may reschedule, subject to availability.
Liability
Worcestershire Horse Transport does not accept liability for loss of entry fees or related expenses due to cancellations or delays.
Owners are responsible for their horse’s welfare, fitness to travel, and insurance, including public liability.
If veterinary assistance is required during transport, all associated costs are the owner’s responsibility.
Loading and Conduct
Horses must be loaded calmly, with welfare as a priority. Forceful or harmful techniques are not permitted.
Horse passports and proof of insurance/public liability must be presented before loading.
Additional Charges
Waiting time beyond the agreed schedule will be charged at £15 per hour (or part thereof).
A 30-minute loading window is included; additional loading time will be charged at £7.50 per half hour (or part thereof).
Damage
Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their horse during loading, transport, or unloading.
A reputable repairer will assess any damage, and repairs will be carried out accordingly, with costs charged to the owner.
